Amatsuyu Kirasagi is invited out alone by the cool beauty upperclassman Cosmos and his childhood friend Himawari. Expecting to hear their confessions, he triumphantly goes to meet each of them in turn. But Cosmos and Himawari both instead confess to Amatsuyu that they like his friend. Amatsuyu fights this lonely battle, but there is another girl who is looking at him. She is a gloomy girl with glasses and braids. Amatsuyu finds that he hates her, because she's always turning her sharp tongue only on him and finding enjoyment in his troubles. But it turns out that she's the only one who actually does like him.

My Neighbors the Yamadas

My Neighbors the Yamadas uses a distinctive animation style to tell a series of vignettes about the title family. These vignettes vary from leaving the young girl behind at the mall to the father confronting a motorcycle gang for disturbing the peace. The "real" story is often interrupted by metaphorical interludes, featuring the husband and wife navigating the ship of their family through the sea of life to the father becoming a superhero to chase down the aforementioned delinquents. The film is a feel-good family drama that expresses various themes about living with fathers and mothers, husbands and wives, daughters and sons, and brothers and sisters. And sharp grandmas.

Sunday Without God

God has abandoned the world. Women had stopped giving birth and the dead are damned to walk among the living even if their bodies are damaged beyond healing. Only appointed individuals called gravekeepers can bury the deceased and put them to rest. Ai Astin is a young girl who took on the role of a gravekeeper after her late mother passed away. One day, a mysterious immortal man appears at Ai's village and slaughters all of the residents except her. Ai, having no where else to go, ends up leaving her home to travel with the man in hopes of seeking answers to why God left the world in such a horrific state.

"Eripiyo" is an extreme idol fan. She is wildly enthusiastic about Maina, the shy and lowest-ranking member of the minor underground idol group Cham Jam that performs in Okayama Prefecture. She gets so wrapped up in her love for Maina during a particular performance, that she has a major nosebleed. Eri will continue to give her complete devotion to Maina until the day she can perform at Budōkan (a major performing venue in Tokyo).

Shinichi then is informed that he was in fact selected by the Japanese government to help improve his country's relations with this new world by establishing a company to spread the unique products of the Japanese culture to this new, unexplored market.
