MAJOR: World Series Hen - Yume no Shunkan e 2
Goro is determined to help the Indiana Hornets win the World Series against the Texas Raiders. In Game 6 a ball flies at his head, a ball similar to the same shot that killed his dad, from Gibson Junior. The Hornets go on to lose Game 6, setting up a decisive Game 7. Goro must try to convince his coach and his teammates that he can play despite the risk of a concussion. At the same time Shigeno goes into labor with her and Goro's first child, a little baby girl. Shigeno hides this information from Goro hoping he can play in Game 7 and become the best in the world, but the rest of her family questions the decision, knowing Goro's stubborn streak.

After fourteen years in the Major League Baseball, Goro returns to Japan because of a surgery that forced him to quit his life as a pitcher. He is determined to continue playing the game, but now as a fielder in his home country. Trouble arises as Izumi, his eldest daughter, is unable to understand his actions.

His childhood friend Hikari attends a different school with baseball ace Hideo. The two of them wish that Hiro had not given up baseball. Hiro joins the soccer team and meets Haruka, a very clumsy girl who is also the daughter of his father's boss. Haruka is the manager of the unofficial baseball club at Hiro's school. When the soccer team challenges the baseball club to a game, with hopes of humiliating them, the baseball club nearly loses until Hiro, disgusted by the soccer team's arrogance, switches to the baseball club.

Daigo loves baseball, mostly because his dad is a professional player – he's played for the MLB, the Japanese leagues, and now he's off to Taiwan to play there. Everyone in Daigo's family loves the sport; his older sister Izumi is on track to be just as impressive a pitcher as their father, and even their mother played back in school. Now that Daigo's in the fourth grade, he's all set to join his dad's old team and prove that he has what it takes too—except once he starts playing, he's not sure that he does. Crumbling under the pressure of all the expectations around him, Daigo flubs his first game and immediately quits the sport. Two years later, he's still beating himself up for his perceived failings, barely trying to succeed at anything anymore. However, the kick in the pants he may need has just arrived at his school, in the form of his dad's best MLB buddy's son.

They have been entering numerous matches, meeting a variety of adversaries and honing their baseball skills in the process, awaiting in the meantime, for the strongest competitor to appear.
