Ranma Saotome has just gotten back the legendary Cursed Springs (Jusenkyo) of China and has been engaged by his father and his best friend, Genma and Soun, to Akane Tendo, Soun's daughter. Ranma and Akane are off to a rough start and it doesn't help that Ranma has a curse from Jusenkyo: turning into a girl when splashed with cold water. Throughout the series, more characters are introduced, some with curses similiar to Ranma's, and Ranma and Akane begin to love each other, even though they refuse to admit it.

Fafner
Tatsumiyajima is the central island in the middle of a small cluster of islands, in a sleepy backwater of the Japanese isles. Thirty years before a strange phenomena called a "spacequake" devastated the center of Eurasia, claiming the lives of at least 150 million people. Since then, smaller spacequakes plague the world on a irregular basis. Shidō Itsuka, a seemingly ordinary high schooler comes across a mysterious girl at the ground zero of a spacequake and learns from his sister Kotori she is one of the "Spirits" who are the real cause of the spacequakes that occur when they manifest themselves in the world. He also learns that Kotori is the captain of the airship Ratatoskr and recruits him to make use of his mysterious ability to seal the Spirits' powers and stop them from being a threat to mankind. However, there is a catch: to seal a Spirit, he must make her fall in love with him.

Sky Crawlers
The story unfolds in another 'possible' modern age. The main characters are youngsters called "Kildren", who are destined to live eternally in their adolescence. The Kildren are conscious that every day could be the last, because they fight a "war as entertainment" organized and operated by adults. But as they embrace the reality they are faced with, they live their day-to-day lives to the full.
